Try deleting your SkyrimLauncer.exe then tell Steam to verify integrity of game cache (right click Skyrim in your steam library, click properties, then go to the local files tab, it's a button there) can't promise it will work, but I had a problem initially with the launcher not showing progress on mods,this fixed it for me.
